Meet Elise Vicente, RN, BSN

Meet Elise Vicente, RN, BSN

Elise Vicente, RN, BSN joined the SCCA Proton Therapy Center in January of 2013. She has over 11 years of oncology experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has a strong passion for patient care. Elise grew up in Everson, Washington and graduated from Seattle Pacific University.

What is your role at the Center?

I am the Clinical Nurse Manager, supporting our nursing staff, patient services, and social work. I am very grateful to be a part of a team that is dedicated to improving cancer care.

What do you think is the best thing about proton therapy?

I am amazed by the overall advances proton therapy is making in oncology care. It is incredible what resources our patients have for treatment. It is very exciting to have the opportunity to be a regional resource and be able to serve several communities.

What do you love most about your job?

Most of all, I love being part of this amazing team and being able to contribute to the care our patients receive.

What are your hobbies?

When I’m not at work I like to spend time with my family, working in my garden, and finding good books to read. My favorite flowers to grow are peonies and I have one that is just starting to bloom that I received as a gift four years ago.

What is your favorite quote?

"I was afraid of living an ordinary life, and I realized that's what we all get, and it's good enough." Garrison Keller
