Your care during the latest COVID-19 surge

Your care during the latest COVID-19 surge

At SCCA and the Proton Therapy Center, we have been experiencing challenges with scheduling appointments and treatments, extended wait times and longer-than-normal response times from providers. A significant rise in cases of the omicron variant of COVID-19 in our community has contributed to these challenges. Your care is critical, and we remain committed to providing the life-changing care you deserve. We appreciate your patience, trust and understanding during this time.

To help address these challenges, we are:

Requiring all providers, staff and patients to wear masks at all times while in our clinics.

  • Requiring staff to stay at home if they are symptomatic or after an exposure to someone with COVID-19, in order to prevent exposure to other staff and/or patients.
  • Improving how and when we schedule patients to reduce wait times.
  • Providing more services at different locations.
  • Offering more telehealth visits.

We encourage you to:

  • Reschedule your appointments if you become symptomatic or have a positive COVID-19 test.
  • Tell your care team if you have a known exposure to someone who has COVID-19.
  • Ask your care team if telehealth appointments are an option for you.
  • Get your flu and COVID-19 vaccines and follow all safety measures, including wearing a mask inside the clinic to protect each other and our greater community.
  • Review SCCA’s visitor policy before coming to the clinic.
  • Read SCCA’s COVID-19 resources webpage before coming to the clinic. This page is specifically for SCCA patients and will answer many of your questions about COVID-19.
