Quality Improvement & Research Coordinator

Reporting to the Associate Administrator, the Quality Improvement & Research Coordinator works with all Center personnel to ensure consistency and reliability in policies and procedures and treatment protocols that govern the high quality, compassionate and safe delivery of all patient care provided at the Center. The Quality Improvement & Research Coordinator, in consultation with the Associate Administrator, will coordinate and facilitate operational and process improvements identified through event reporting, participation in safety committees, risk assessments, and other data collection efforts. This position functions as the Research Coordinator, collaborating with UW/SCCA research coordinators in ensuring the Center meets all requirements of study protocols and promoting Center participation in research.

Quality, Compliance & Research Manager

Reporting to the Associate Administrator, the Quality, Compliance, & Research Manager works with all Center personnel to ensure consistency and reliability in policies, procedures and treatment protocols that govern the high quality, compassionate and safe delivery of all patient care provided at the Center. The Quality, Compliance, & Research Manager, will coordinate and facilitate operational and process improvements identified through event reporting, participation in safety committees, risk assessments, and other data collection efforts. This position functions as the Privacy Officer and the Compliance Officer and coordinates with the Radiation Safety Officer and the Security Officer to ensure that the delivery of proton therapy at the Center meets all regulatory requirements, practice standards, and best practices.

Radiation Therapist

The SCCA Proton Therapy Center, located in beautiful Seattle, Washington, is seeking a Radiation Therapist who will work in cooperation with other team members to assure all treatment procedures are delivered accurately, compassionately, and of the highest quality. Proton therapy is an advanced form of cancer treatment that allows doctors to focus radiation directly into the tumor, reducing the potential for side effects. The SCCA Proton Therapy Center is located on UW Medicine Northwest Campus and is the only proton therapy center in a seven-state region.

Scheduling Coordinator

The Radiation Therapy Scheduling Coordinator schedules all proton treatment related services to include simulation, daily treatments, QA CT scans, and weekly physician appointments. In addition, assists patients with coordinating ancillary activities such as diagnostic testing and referrals to other healthcare providers and services. Works with Intake, Nursing, Physician and Radiation Therapy teams to ensure patient scheduling is accomplished cooperatively and efficiently. The Radiation Therapy Scheduling Coordinator performs a variety of administrative tasks in collaboration with the providers and the treatment team ensuring that company administrative standards are being met/exceeded.

Medical Dosimetrist

The Dosimetrist is responsible for developing computer generated radiation dose distributions, calculating radiation dose treatment times or monitoring unit settings to deliver prescribed radiation to a defined tumor volume as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. At the direction of the Medical Dosimetry Manager, and on a regular basis, the Dosimetrist will conduct quality assurance reviews, conduct quality checks on various pieces of equipment.

Clinical Nurse

The Clinical Nurse/Registered Nurse provides and coordinates all clinical aspects of care for patients receiving proton radiation therapy, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve predetermined quality outcomes. The Registered Nurse will be expected to perform clinical research tasks that are interrelated to the daily function of the clinic. It will be the responsibility of the Registered Nurse to assure all federal regulations regarding research are followed and work in collaboration with Research. This position requires the ability to work 2 Second Shifts per week, please inquire.
