Brain and Central Nervous System Cancers; Ocular Cancer

Dr. Halasz is board certified in radiation oncology with expertise in proton therapy, and she cares for patients with brain and spinal cord tumors. Dr. Halasz is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology as well as Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington. She is the co-director of the UW Alvord Brain Tumor Center.

Dr. Halasz earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School, where she also completed her residency through Harvard’s radiation oncology program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Dr. Halasz is involved in clinical outcomes research for patients with brain tumors, and is especially interested in how advances in radiation treatment may improve patients’ outcomes and quality of life during and after treatment.
