Brain and Central Nervous System Cancers
Dr. Rockhill is a board-certified radiation oncologist with expertise in proton therapy who specializes in cancers of the brain and nervous system. He is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington, and the Director of CNS Oncology Service at Harborview for both Radiation Oncology and Neurosurgery.
Dr. Rockhill earned his medical degree as well as his Doctorate of Philosophy at the University of Illinois School of Medicine and completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Washington Medical Center.
Dr. Rockhill’s clinical interests include central nervous system tumors, including metastatic disease, stereotactic radiotherapy and radiosurgery, and radiation sensitizers and protectors. He is also involved in research using mathematical modeling to predict tumor growth and response to treatment, as well as advanced imaging techniques with MRI and PET to better delineate treatment response to radiation.
